The Advocates for Indigenous California Language Survival (AICLS) will be holding a
Raffle and Silent Auction at the Language is Life Conference, October 6-8, 2017.
Raffle and Silent Auction items include baskets, necklaces, rattles, books, artwork, jars of smoked salmon and acorns, and much more. Your purchasing of these beautiful items will directly benefit our language revitalization efforts.
If you or someone you know would like to donate an item, please contact AICLS Boardmember Nancy Steele Here.
Donator should describe the item, including the maker (if known), approximate value of the donation (for tax write-off for donation purposes). Please send a photo if possible. (Items can be brought to the conference or if unable to attend, arrangements for pickup can be made.)
Apart from selling raffle tickets at the conference, we are asking that participants of the various AICLS programs sell pre-sale raffle tickets. Price of tickets are to be $1 each or 6 tickets for $5.
Funds from all raffle donations will help offset scholarhip costs to enable more Native people to attend the conference.
